A Monday Meditation

As your week starts, consider the words of an early church father:

“Therefore let us unite with those who devoutly practice peace, and not with those who hypocritically wish for peace (1 Clement 15:1).”

It is valuable to gather with those who chat about their desire for change, but it is powerful to surround ourselves and join with those who are active in making change. Consider this with regard to faith in Jesus. We are influenced, whether or not we know it, by those we share our time with.

With this in mind as we set an intention for your week, consider who you will be with, and remember you have the choice to engage or not to engage. So who will you choose to unite with this week? Who will you choose to inform your paradigm? Talkers or doers? So meditate on these words again:

“Therefore let us unite with those who devoutly practice peace, and not with those who hypocritically wish for peace (1 Clement 15:1).”

This makes me want to reevaluate my plans for tonight. Very good words to not just meditate on, but to act on.
