Day of Plenty produce exchange, Sunday, September 29th, 10am-1pm at Firehouse PAC

IMG_7324This weekend is our blessing weekend. On Sunday morning, from 10am-1pm, The Tabke is hosting “The Day of Plenty” on the back lawn of the Firehouse PAC (1314 Harris Ave.). Bring your excess produce from your/your neighbors garden/farm, and swap it for other produce (if you don’t have any to share, still come and walk away from the bounty). We will also have a cider press on hand (so bring some ugly or pretty apples and a container), as well as some live music. Should prove to be another great event in our neighborhood, so come over and hang out.

We are also collecting boxes of graham crackers, new underwear (boys and girls sizes for kindergarteners and 1st graders), and children’s winter clothes. These will be given to Happy Valley and Larrabee Elementary schools. Any donations received that day will go to purchasing these goods, too. So bring these items to The Day of Plenty, and let’s bless our schools as we gather!

Our next worship gathering will be October 6th at the library. See y’all Sunday!

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
