Confidence in Prayer

dailybreadHow do we view our relationship with God? Is it one where we cower before Him, as if about to receive a beating? Or are we giving Jesus a high-5 because He is our homeboy. Either way, we approach God in prayer with our perceptions in mind. 1 John 3:21-22 says, “21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.” Because of the work of Christ on the cross, we can freely approach God with confidence. We are allowed to be in God’s presence, because of Jesus. And, in His presence God welcomes us to converse with Him about what is on our mind. As we walk with Jesus, seeking to do His will, we have increased confidence.

So, what do you desire to converse with God about today? Know that He welcomes you into His presence.
